YES! The Banff Gondola is Open in Winter!

We’ll pick you up at your hotel in the morning and visit the top Banff bucket list destinations in town. The Banff Gondola has a winter hours schedule, but when you tour with us, you’ll have a reserved time, so you don’t have to wait in line.

Ride on the 4-seater, glass-enclosed cable car to the summit, soaring 2,282 feet (698m) up to a total elevation of 7486 feet or 2,281 metres above sea level. Switch sides with your group to get the full view perspective!

Things to do at the Banff Sulphur Mountain Summit

Even though the ride takes 8 minutes each way, you’ll have 1 hour 40min to enjoy your time at the summit including:

The Sulphur Mountain Observation Deck

Soak in the 360° views all around and unobstructed views of the Banff Townsite. Take a casual 2km stroll along the boardwalk and the many hiking trails, and continue on the paths to Sanson’s Peak and the historic Cosmic Ray Station for more views and great mountain perspectives.
