COVID-19 UPDATE

For the health and safety of staff and guests, the following measures are in place:

  • Face masks are mandatory on the shuttle and in the office.
  • Equipment will be wiped down and sanitized after each use.

After an informational safety talk, the guide will help you get you familiar with your new eco-friendly 600cc snowmobile (with heated hand-grips and easy-to-use controls).

Located across the valley from Kicking Horse Mountain Resort in Golden BC, follow highly qualified and knowledgeable guide as you climb up to elevations of 7000 feet, while you are surrounded by the unspoiled beauty of the Rockies.

Start your ride by winding your way up through the scenic mountain trails, and your guide will stop to offer instructional tips and interesting information about the area with a short break for creamy hot chocolate and homemade cookies. Those on the full day tour will ride further up the mountain  and enjoy a delicious mountainside BBQ lunch.

After making your journey back down the mountain again towards the end of the day, you will finish your gratifying day of snowmobiling at the home base and have a refreshing drink before heading back home.

The half day tour departs from White N’ Wild Snowmobile Tours at 10am, which is located in Golden, British Columbia, and finishes at 12:30 pm, 2-2.5 hours in total

The full day tour departs from White N’ Wild Snowmobile Tours at 10am, which is located in Golden, British Columbia, and finishes at 2:30 pm, 4-4.5 hours in total. For those taking transportation, this begins with pick-up in Banff at 8:15am and will return to Banff around 5pm. Pickups are also available from Canmore and Lake Louise, please inquire when booking.

Your tour includes hot chocolate and homemade cookies, a BBQ lunch (full day tour only), shuttle service from Banff, Canmore and Lake Louise, professional guides, riding instruction, collision insurance up to $250 (CDN), fuel, trail fees, 600cc snowmobiles and all winter weather gear that you may need including snowsuits, boots and helmets.
Complimentary transportation is available from most hotels in Banff, as well as select locations in Canmore, Lake Louise and Field. Guests staying in Banff can select their preferred pick-up location when booking online. Canmore guests can be picked up from most hotels in the main town centre (along the Bow Valley Trail) or otherwise from the McDonald’s parking lot, and guests staying in Lake Louise can be picked up from most hotels. For Emerald Lake, guests can meet the shuttle at the Field Tourist Info Center. To book for pickups from Canmore, Lake Louise or Field, please contact us directly or book online and enter the name of your hotel and town in the booking notes and we will select the closest pickup for you.

The shuttle will pick guests up from Canmore at 7:45am, Banff at 8:15am, Lake Louise at 9:15am and Field at 9:30am. Guests taking the shuttle will return to Field and Lake Louise at approximately 4:00pm, Banff at 5:00pm and Canmore at 5:30pm.

For guests self-driving, please meet at 9:30am at White N’ Wild Snowmobile Tours, which is located in Golden, British Columbia, approximately 1.5 hours from Banff. Detailed driving directions will be provided in your booking confirmation.
A BBQ burger lunch will be served, and may vary in available items. All special dietary requests will be considered, please inquire for further details.
It’s recommended to bring any winter clothing or skiwear that you have, dressing in warm layers including an extra pair of warm socks, long underwear, skiwear, neck-warmers, ski goggles or sunglasses, fingered gloves (no mittens, hats or long, flowing scarves), and snow boots or snowboard boots if you have them. Please note that ski helmets are not suitable, they must be DOT approved helmets. Boots, snowsuits and helmets will be available for you to use and if you forget anything, they have all the gear you will need.
After an informational safety talk, they will help you get familiar with your new eco-friendly 600cc snowmobile so you don’t need to have any experience.
Not at all, there are no gears to change, just a simple gas and brake, and there is even heated handlebars for your comfort!
Guests can upgrade to a 900cc snowmobile for an additional cost, which can be completed when booking online. Please note that these are single rider machines.
There is a 72 hour cancellation policy, which allows you to change/cancel or refund your booking up to 72 hours outside your booked tour (up to 7 days for group bookings).
Tips are not expected, but are certainly appreciated. If you think your guide did a wonderful job and would like to indicate that with a tip, it will be graciously accepted.

  • Minimum age for a driver: 16 years [*Driver’s Licence equivalent to a Canadian Class 5 is required].
  • Minimum age for a passenger: 5 years.
  • A standard release of liability is required for all participants. A parent or guardian must complete a liability release for persons under 19 years of age.
  • There is a maximum of one driver and one passenger per sled for 600cc machines. 900cc machines are single driver only.
  • The maximum combined weight allowed is 425 lbs (192 kg) per snowmobile. No exceptions – extra passengers on with a guide will not be permitted this season.
  • The half day tour has a minimum of two drivers/snowmobiles.
