COVID-19 UPDATE: For the health and safety of staff and guests, the following measures are in place:

  • Transport is not available this winter.
  • Face masks are required when occupying indoor spaces.
  • Guests will be checked in 1-2 groups at a time to minimize the number of guests indoors.
  • Sanitizer will be available in our office and social distancing will be practiced.
  • Equipment will be wiped down and sanitized after each use.
  • An outdoor toilet will be available on site.

After an informational safety talk, the guide will help you get you familiar with your comfy eco-friendly 600cc snowmobile (with heated hand-grips and easy-to-use controls).

Located in beautiful Golden BC, follow your highly qualified and knowledgeable guide as you climb up to elevations of 7000 feet, while you are surrounded by the unspoiled beauty of the Rockies.

Start your ride by winding your way up through the scenic mountain trails, and your guide will stop to offer instructional tips and interesting information about the area with a short break for creamy hot chocolate and homemade cookies.

After making your journey gradually back down the mountain, you will finish your gratifying day of snowmobiling at the home base and have many stories to share!

The morning half day tour departs from White N’ Wild Snowmobile Tours at 10:00am and finishes at 12:00pm, and the afternoon tour starts at 1:00pm, and finishes at 3:00pm, two hours in total. Please arrive at the base 30 minutes prior to your tour start time, and allow an additional 45 minutes in travel time in December while construction is occuring on Highway 1 near Golden.
Your tour includes hot chocolate and homemade cookies, professional guides, riding instruction, collision insurance up to $250 (CDN), fuel, trail fees, 600cc snowmobiles and all winter weather gear that you may need including snowsuits, boots and helmets.
Please meet at White N’ Wild Snowmobile Tours, which is located in Golden, British Columbia, approximately 1.5 hours from Banff. Detailed driving directions will be provided in your booking confirmation. Transport is not available this year due to COVID-19.
It’s recommended to bring any winter clothing or skiwear that you have, dressing in warm layers including an extra pair of warm socks, long underwear, skiwear, neck-warmers, ski goggles or sunglasses, fingered gloves (no mittens, hats or long, flowing scarves), and snow boots or snowboard boots if you have them. Please note that ski helmets are not suitable, they must be DOT approved helmets. Boots, snowsuits and helmets will be available for you to use and if you forget anything, they have all the gear you will need.
After an informational safety talk, they will help you get familiar with your eco-friendly 600cc snowmobile so you don’t need to have any experience.
Not at all, there are no gears to change, just a simple gas and brake, and there is even heated handlebars for your comfort!
There is a 72 hour cancellation policy, which allows you to change/cancel or refund your booking up to 72 hours outside your booked tour (up to 7 days for group bookings).
Tips are not expected, but are certainly appreciated. If you think your guide did a wonderful job and would like to indicate that with a tip, it will be graciously accepted.

  • Minimum age for a driver: 16 years [*Driver’s Licence equivalent to a Canadian Class 5 is required].
  • Minimum age for a passenger: 5 years.
  • A standard release of liability is required for all participants. A parent or guardian must be present to complete a liability release for persons under 19 years of age.
  • There is a maximum of one driver and one passenger per sled.
  • The maximum combined weight allowed is 425 lbs (192 kg) per snowmobile. No exceptions.
  • The half day tour has a minimum of two drivers/snowmobiles, please call the day prior to confirm the tour.
  • Photo ID may be required for identity verification.
