Want to know more about wolfdogs? Learn all about the Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary and our wolfdog rescue initiatives during a 30-minute introductory talk inside a wolfdog enclosure.

This quick tour takes you to a viewing platform within the enclosure where you can see the wolfdogs while our guide gives a 30-minute presentation. This presentation will teach you general information about wolfdogs and the mission behind the Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary. This is a great way to photograph one of the packs of wolfdogs from inside their enclosure as well as have full access to speak to one of the wolfdog experts.
In addition to the Intro Tour, guests can take in a self-guided Sanctuary Walk to read informational signage and stroll past more wolfdogs that call this Banff Wolfdog Sanctuary home. Guests can enjoy this either before or after their tour.
Please note that there is no interaction with the wolfdogs on this tour. The Wolfdog Sanctuary Interactive Tour is recommended for anyone interested in this.

In addition, guests will also be able to explore the entire sanctuary on a self-guided walk to view the 20+ wolfdogs on site. Educational signs are placed throughout the sanctuary, so visitors are able to learn interesting and key facts about wolves and wolfdogs. Throughout the day, different activities are scheduled, so while on the walk guests may be able to see different packs get fed, given toys, etc. There is also a gift shop at the sanctuary with a variety of merchandise for sale. All the proceeds of the items sold in the gift shop go directly towards caring for the animals at the sanctuary, as well as continuing their rescue efforts.
