The tour runs twice a day at at 9:30am and 1:30pm, and returns approximately three hours later. Please arrive at the operations base 30 minutes prior to your tour departure.
Your tour includes a professional ATV guide, late-model ATV, light refreshments and a snack, safety orientation and a helmet, goggles, light gloves, rubber boots and a rain jacket and pants.

ATV damage insurance (which covers up to $350 for incidentals towards any accidental damages to your ATV while you’re on tour) can be purchased during your booking or on the day of your tour for an additional $20 per machine.

Insurance is not included in the tour price, but you can purchase an optional insurance package for $20 per machine, which provides $350 coverage for minor, accidental damages. A credit card imprint is required for all tours and will be taken upon arrival.
The regular ATVs fit two people – one driver and one passenger that sits behind the driver.

Two and four-person Side-by-Side UTVs (Utility Task Vehicles) are available as an upgrade option on this tour. Many guests want to experience the thrill of riding on an ATV, however just as many of our guests would prefer to ride in a UTV and to have a steering wheel rather than handlebars.  UTVs  have a side-by-side seating arrangement, seat belts and roll-over protection. The UTVs also have a steering-wheel with foot operated gas and brake pedals. These features make operation of the vehicle easy and very similar to driving a car. They offer a very comfortable smooth ride with plenty of room to stow backpacks and extra gear. The roof provides shelter from sun or light rain showers.  It is also easier to talk with each other between stops when seated side-by-side. This upgrade option is available during the online booking process.

The operations base is located at Panorama Mountain Village, near Invermere in British Columbia, approximately 2 hours south-west of Banff. Detailed driving directions will be provided in your booking confirmation.

Guests that require transport can take a complimentary morning shuttle bus from Banff to the base, however this will require guests to wait at the site for several hours prior to their afternoon tour. Please enquire for further details.

Please wear layered backcountry clothing including long sleeves, a jacket, pants, sturdy footwear (hiking boot or runners – rubber boots are provided but your own hiking or walking shoes may be more comfortable), sunglasses, sunscreen, a baseball cap and any personal medications (if required). You can also bring a light backpack with you. A helmet, goggles, light gloves, rubber boots and a rain jacket and pants will be provided.

You must also bring a credit card to use for an imprint for damages whether insurance is purchased or not, and don’t forget your camera!

The ATVs can accommodate small backpacks and camera bags, and straps and bungees can be provided to secure your bag to the carrier. Alternatively you can wear a backpack while riding provided you do not bring a passenger.

During the tour you’ll make many stops to take in the view and you are welcome to bring your camera or cellphone and use it to record your ATV trip. If you are a driver, please do not attempt to drive your ATV and use your camera at the same time. Your guide will be more than happy to take group or family photos so please don’t hesitate to ask.

This tour is suitable for all members of the family. No prior experience operating an ATV is needed, in fact most of the guests are first-timers. Everything that you need is supplied (except a camera and a sense of adventure). Please note that the minimum age for passengers is 5 years, and the minimum age for drivers is 16 years of age.
There is a 48 hour cancellation policy, which allows you to change/cancel or refund your booking up to 48 hours outside your booked tour (up to 7 days for group bookings).
Tips are not expected, but are certainly appreciated. If you think your guide did a wonderful job and would like to indicate that with a tip, it will be graciously accepted.
