The fall is a fantastic time for sightseeing and viewing wildlife. Foliage color start to change, the first hints of winter begin to appear and a low sun makes photographic opportunities more dramatic.

This time of the year also heralds tremendous activity with the local elk population because of the rutting season.  This tour will give visitors a chance to see a few of Banff’s highlights as well as spend time at Lake Louise for short walks and exploring on your own.  Throughout the tour as we move from Banff to Lake Louise and return your guide will do their best to point out local wildlife and explain what its like living in a national park with animals sometimes literally, on our doorsteps!

The tour begins at 12:30pm and brings you back to Banff around 5:30pm, approximately 5 hours.
The half day tour includes transportation from most hotels in Banff on a guided bus tour of some of the local highlights in Banff such as the iconic Banff Springs Hotel and Bow Falls before travelling along the Bow Valley Parkway to Lake Louise. The tour includes several stops, including a refreshment break, and hands on interpretive tools.
We pick up from most hotels in Banff, and you can select your preferred pick-up location during the booking process. For drop offs, our guide will ask you on the way back where you would like to be dropped off either in town or at your hotel.
At every stop you will have the opportunity to get off the bus and stretch your legs. All of the viewpoints are a short walk, including the easy, flat shoreline trail at Lake Louise.
There is a chance of seeing wildlife on the tour and we often spot animals, however we do not guarantee seeing wildlife on any of our tours. Our guides have a lot of knowledge about the animals within the park and can fill you in about them if you see any wildlife or if you have any questions.
There is a 48 hour cancellation policy, which allows you to change/cancel or refund your booking up to 48 hours outside your booked tour (up to 7 days for group bookings).
Tips are not expected, but are certainly appreciated. If you think your guide did a wonderful job and would like to indicate that with a tip, it will be graciously accepted.
