Winter Survival Basics

Welcome to the Hudson Bay Company, well almost. Before you can join officially with the Hudson's Bay Company next season (winter of 1842), you will have to prove to us your survival skills. Here at the HBC we only hire the most rugged and skilled people to trap animals for their furs, and we need to! The winters in the Banff area can be harsh. Imagine -51 degrees Celsius without the wind chill, ten meters of snow, and rugged terrain that you could easily get lost in, but that is all part of the job. Today we will find out if you have the necessary skills just to survive out here in the wild.

Its no easy city life out here no new fangled luxury, no one to take care of you...just you and the wilderness. So let get out into the wild and put you wildness survival skills to the test!

In this exhilarating team-building event your group will be separated into teams competing against each other to see who has the survival skills that would be fit enough for the fur trappers of yesteryear. Each team will have to use physical and mental strength to complete a series of challenges. We will be taking all players out into the wild, where we will snowshoe to the secluded competition area. Once at the location teams will have one hour to complete a series of 4 wilderness survival challenges to the best of their abilities.
