Dog Sledding

Dogsledding is available in two areas, close to the Banff townsite.

Banff Dogsledding (Banff National Park, Lake Louise with Kingmik Dogsled Tours) runs along the Continental Divide (the mountain range that divides BC and Alberta).  The trees and trail are often heavy with fresh snowfall.  Each sled is guided, which allows a 2:1 guest to guide ratio and only 5 sleds are run per tour time, allowing guests to enjoy the silence and beauty of dog sledding.

Dogsledding, closer to Canmore (with Snowy Owl Dog Sled Tours) on the Spray Lakes offers wide open vistas of the Spray Lakes and a range of tours, ranging from 2hr, 4hr and 8hr tours, as well as the add on option to take a helicopter flight to the dog sledding site.

Both companies are passionate about their four legged families and have excellent reputations for dog care and wellbeing.
